Thunderstorms! :)

Came home early today for a nice break during my long couple weeks and all because of an amazing storm. I woke up late this morning, didn't feel like teaching at all (but then ended up watching videos for the majority of my classes), and definitely didn't feel like guarding all day long again. So it started out hot, very hot, and sunny and the pool was ridiculously crowded because we had 3 large groups there plus the normal crowd. Then around 3pm, the sky got really dark and we cleared the pool for thunder and then lightning. This storm was so awesome! It didn't rain too much but there were a lot of long and bright lightning streaks and the weirdest thing was that it was strangley light above the pool and very dark a short distance away. The huge American flag in the park was illuminated and the white looked iridescent. The clouds were all swirling around and seemed to be colliding with each other right above us, and then the storm just dumped some rain and passed on. Ahh, thunderstorms. I am surprisingly beginning to like storms for once since I haven't been stuck in any bad ones for a while lol. Anyway, now I am here at home.

I ate some gummy bears, did a Pilates workout, and I think I'm going to go to bed around 10pm b/c tomorrow will be my longest work day as long as we don't close again...13 1/2 hrs. which includes teaching swimming, guarding all day, and then guarding a party in the evening for 2 hrs. Umm, my brother is in Honduras, and my sister just moved into an apartment in Lancaster so I am the only child in the house at the moment and it's rather lonely. My parents bought a new van that's the same as the one we rented for vacation (power everything which is insane in my opinion) except in a much cooler color, and now I am going to eat some fresh corn and green beans w/ my mom...and mb some strawberries and blueberries as well! Chao!
